Design Review Padma Bridge Rail Link Project

The Padma Bridge Rail Link is located in the Middle Western part of Bangladesh. The total length of bridges is 31 km. There are 3 high viaducts with a total length of 21.86 km, 66 major bridges with a total length of 7.65 km, 224 frame minor bridges and 1 underpass. The original design adopted Indian specification, part of the BS specification and US specification. Scope of PEC+S's services was to recalculate selected structures according to European Norms and Standards. Within our Consulting Services an assessment on the safety and applicability of the bridges was given as well as advice and suggestion on improvement and optimization in terms of safety, durability and costs.
